Refunds are available for products purchased directly from our website within 14 days of receipt. To be eligible for a refund, the product must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging.

To request a refund, please contact our customer service team at info@colourwings.com.au with your order number and a brief explanation of the reason for the refund. If applicable, include any relevant photos of the product and packaging.

Refunds will be processed once the product is returned and inspected. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product. Please note, shipping fees are non-refundable.

Custom or personalized items are non-refundable. Products purchased on sale or with promotional discounts may be subject to different refund terms.

If you notice the color fading or running low, gently press the tip of the marker a few times to allow the ink to flow again. Avoid pressing too hard to prevent damage.

For optimal colour performance, we recommend storing your markers flat. However we do recommend turning them upside down right before use. This helps ensure the ink flows evenly and the tips stay saturated.

Our markers are filled with water-based, non-toxic acrylic paint. The colours are vibrant, long-lasting, and suitable for layering. Since they are water-based rather than oil-based, they are odourless and quick-drying.

Yes, you can blend the colours using a cotton bud or your fingertip, but you’ll need to act quickly - the paint dries fast! For best results, blend while the paint is still wet.

Each board is made from high-quality 3mm MDF - a strong, durable material that gives you a solid surface to colour on with no warping, crinkling, or tearing like paper. Our dollhouse series is made using only plywood.

No need to prime! Each board is carefully sanded by hand, giving it a smooth surface that’s ready to colour straight away - your markers will glide with ease.

Yes! All drawings are original artworks, first hand-drawn and then laser-engraved onto wooden boards.

All standard ColourWings boards are 40cm x 40cm. Please double check the product description for sizing as some boards might vary in size. We also offer themed kits (like dollhouse rooms) with different dimensions.

Yes! Once your artwork is complete, the board can be framed, displayed, or given as a beautiful personalised gift. While the board is designed for single-use, you can layer new colours over dried paint. Just keep in mind that excessive layering hasn’t been fully tested.

Australian standard shipping takes 2-6 business days, while express shipping is 1-4 business days. Shipping times depend on current courier services and may vary by location. Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number to monitor its progress. Please note that delivery times can be affected by external factors beyond our control, such as weather or courier delays. For international orders, additional time may be required due to customs and local postal services.

Domestic orders over $120 qualify for free shipping.

International orders may be subject to customs fees, taxes, or duties, which are the customer’s responsibility.

While we recommend the included acrylic markers for best results, other acrylic-based paints or markers also work well on the MDF surface.

The lines are deep enough to guide your colouring but fine enough to keep the artwork looking clean and elegant. They’re just the right width to help you stay inside the lines without overpowering your design. After multiple trials, we’ve fine-tuned the engraving to get it just right.

It really depends on your pace! Some people like to complete it in one session, while others enjoy taking their time over several days. It’s all about the experience.

You can apply a clear acrylic spray to preserve the finish, which is available at most local hardware stores. However, we haven’t used it on any of our boards since ColourWings began, and they still look as great as the day we first started!
